We had a severe wind storm here last night. Storms on the prairie are up close and personal. We thought Lucy might blow over, but she didn't and the storm abated and we went to sleep.
Today we are visiting the museum and touring the buildings. Laura's school in DeSmet and the Brewster school replica where she first taught and lived with the settlers.
Picture of us all in front of the last house Pa Ingalls built for Ma and Caroline (She never really married). When Pa Ingalls died Caroline and Ma took in boarders to be able to keep the house.
Mattea got to play a replica of Pa's fiddle. Last building is the Surveyor's house they lived in the winter of On the Shores of Silver Lake. It was moved to the museum site. They set up a discovery
building for kids where Mattea played the teacher.
